The Rock Ko Fol group came into existence on March 14, 2009, but not in its original homeland of ex-Yugoslavia. Instead, the band’s story began in San Francisco, California, where fate brought together members hailing from different cities of the former Yugoslavia.

Initially, Rock Ko Fol’s music was confined to the United States, where 90% of the audience consisted of fellow ex-Yugoslavian expatriates. However, the advent of social media in 2012 opened doors to Europe, specifically Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, for their debut performances. Following that, a series of concerts in various cities and countries were lined up, including Serbia, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Holland, Montenegro, and even Canada.

The music produced by Rock Ko Fol falls under the Rock genre, yet it’s deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Bosnian music, particularly Sevdah. This fusion of tradition and powerful sound creates a unique style that draws a diverse spectrum of music enthusiasts from different backgrounds to their shows. Remarkably, the band serves as a bridge, engaging with individuals from all three major groups of ex-Yugoslavia, even though these groups had experienced conflict and division in 1992.

As they celebrate their 14th year in the music scene, Rock Ko Fol stands as a testament to peace, coexistence, respect, and love. They have evolved into a successful, globally renowned band, spreading their harmonious message across the world.
